I agree with all your points, including the need for some extra padding at the bottom of the Air compartment (thanks for the foam idea, I shall be cutting and crafting tomorrow). After three months' use I do have one serious criticism of the Ristrettos. It is all too easy for heavier items (such as the Air power unit) to fall out of the front pocket if the bag is upended or, maybe, left on a chair in a coffee shop. Worse, the rather loose flap with its offset single fixing is an invitation for thieves. Only last week I was on an escalator in the London Underground when someone tried to put a hand inside the bag (easily done, too). Fortunately I noticed and saved the day. But it is a worry. Otherwise, I strongly recommend the Ristretto range.

Demoed it at UG Meeting in Ottawa Canada after MWSF. My favourite bag is Kipling Seoul, brown, bought in Europe 2 years ago. I use it for everything, carry MBPro, MBA, and iPad. Cables, charger. Has big straps. Probably had it with me when we talking at MWSF. I like the zipper rather than the flap, I think.

Just sayin' … Keep up the good work.. It is appreciated. My inBox has gone from 12000 to 0, after reading your suggestions. Couldn't have done it without your common sense approach.
